The Quatro Plus project rests on two foundation stones: policy and technology.
The project aims to promote the labelling paradigm by providing tools for all the roles involved in the workflow. To achieve it goals, it incorporates the expertise and experience of the participating partners in the fields of quality labelling, web development, semantic knowledge representation and personalization/preference definition and enforcement.
Users, Content Providers, Content Certification Authorities, Communities of Interest, and relevant industry organisations have been consulted on what they wished to see the system achieve and how it fits in with current operations and practices. Pilot applications of our methods have been extensively tested by the relevant user groups. Their remarks have been taken into consideration in order to develop a system that will offer the advantages of machine-readable certificates with minimal installation, training and adaptation costs for the involved parties.
