Scope

The project aims to prove and promote the advantages of quality labels and trustmarks for various audiences,
that include labelling authorities, content providers, different domain experts, awareness organization or groups and individual users.
It proposes and implements a complete platform that supports the entities involved in every step of the content label's lifecycle:
  • Tools for facilitating the label creation process by labelling authorities and domain experts.
  • Tools available to communities and end users that allow them to create content labels and share them with their peers.
  • Tools available to the general public that permit the access at labelling information in a human-friendly way

The tools provided by the QUATRO Plus platform are using state-of-the-art web technologies and are conformant with web technology standards and W3C recommendations.

The project consortium is comprised by partners with significant expertise in the different aspects of the platform such as quality labelling, web programming, semantic web technologies, social networking methodologies and human-computer interaction. Furthermore, many members of the consortium had an active and decisive role in the definition of the POWDER Protocol, a W3C Recommendation for publishing description resources.
